In Clarksdale, we stop at The Crossroads where Robert Johnson was supposed to have sold his soul to the devil in return for being able to play the blues on the guitar!! The place is immortalised in many songs, but the most famous of those would be "The Crossroads" by Cream / Eric Clapton. We stop at the Riverside Hotel which is acknowledged as the place James Cotton wrote the first Rock and Roll song. The Inn has also hosted many a famous Blues player and politician. We visit the Delta Blues museum, no photos allowed which has a large number of exhibits on many of the blues players out of the Delta region. We cross into Arkansas so that I can get my magnet for the US map, have morning tea plus see a mural on the Mississippi Levee wall. In Senatobia we visit the Tate County courthouse which was used extensively in the film "The People Versus Larry Flynt". Our last stop for the day is to view the largest Cedar bucket in the world. Originally when built it was 2nd largest, but funnily enough the largest burnt down!!!. Now we are in Tupelo, waiting for Elvis to turn up as this is his birth place. Reckon we'll have an Elvis day tomorrow!
